char dham yatra opening Date 2023

In Uttarakhand, the Char Dham Yatra preparations have begun. Kedarnath Dham, Badrinath Dham, Gangotri Yamunotri, as well as the four Dhams’ opening dates. On April 26, the doors to the Kedarnath Temple will open, and on April 27, the doors to the Badrinath Temple will open. 

The temple committee announced on Friday that the opening of the Gangotri and Yamunotri gateways will take place on April 22. On April 27 at 7.10 am, the Shri Badrinath Dham portals will open.

The date of the portals’ opening was determined by law at a religious ceremony held on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami after an almanac calculation. In the month of November, the Char Dham’s entrances were shut.

More than 46 lakh pilgrims reached Chardham in 2022 yatra

After two years of the Corona period, the Chardham Yatra resumed operations without limitations in 2022, breaking a previous record in the process. More than 46 lakh worshippers made their initial trips to the Char Dhams. The closing of Badrinath Dham’s doors on November 19 marked the conclusion of the Chardham Yatra.

Mention that 17 lakh 60 thousand 646 devotees visited Badrinath Dham the previous year. A record 624451 pilgrims arrived to Gangotri Dham at the same time as 485635 people traveled to Yamunotri Dham. More than 15 lakh pilgrims arrived at Kedarnath Yatra, a record. While Yatra generated 211 crores in revenue.
